May Reading

I'm not sure what happened in May, but I certainly didn't get my usual amount of reading done.  I didn't record some books because I only read parts of them, but my time must have been occupied elsewhere!

Here's what I did read last month.
  • Mansfield Park by Jane Austen.  This was another classic I'd missed in high school.
  • Loving by Karen Kingsbury.  This was the final book in the Bailey Flanigan series.  I enjoyed it more than the previous two, but it didn't end the way I'd hoped!
  • Up from Slavery: An Autobiography by Booker T. Washington.  This book got a bit slow in places, but I enjoyed learning more about this famous American.

The girls and I finished What Katy Did Next and The Story of the Trapp Family Singers (which I highly recommend).  I'm hoping our upcoming family vacation will allow me some extra reading time!

Have you read any good books lately?

  1. It looks like you still read a lot in May to me! =) Think I'll put The Story of the Trapp Family Singers on our library list.

    Have a great week!

  2. I've got a copy of Up from Slavery, too, that I want to read. Like you, I haven't had much time to read lately...well, I did get a couple of books read at the beach.
