I am so glad to have a plan for each day. I know the summer is supposed to be more relaxed - and it is! - but we just seem to function better if we have something scheduled. Our daughters also seem to have fewer "sibling disagreements" if they're busy!
At around 9:30 each morning, we start with a brief Bible time, using the Bright Lights curriculum we began during the school year. We follow that with a couple of simple science experiments from The Everything Kids' Science Experiments Book.

We are slowly beginning the Easy Spanish Step-by-Step book and alternate that with their Rosetta Stone Spanish. Next comes piano practice and designated reading time for their library summer reading programs. That takes us up to lunch time.
We're also getting back into cooking! Yesterday the girls made chocolate chip cookies, reading and following the recipe by themselves.
I'm following this plan three days a week, and the actual days vary, depending on what else we have scheduled. This week I know we'll be home in the morning on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday as I've scheduled our errands and outings for the other days. I'm enjoying learning right along with our girls as we go through the summer.
Have you worked on any projects yet this summer?
