As I read this verse recently, the three "s" words caught my attention.
1. He is my strength. In time of need, He is my anchor and my rock. He gives me courage to face whatever today may bring.
2. He is my song. I can have gladness in my soul as I find my joy in Him.
3. He is my salvation. Because I have trusted Jesus as my Saviour, I have eternal salvation. However, the Lord is also my salvation from the sin with which I struggle today. Through His Spirit's power, I can overcome my troublesome tongue, my wrong emotions, my pride, or whatever sin that tempts me.
The longer I live this Christian life, the more I see my need for Him. How thankful I am for God's faithfulness and the reassurance I find in His Word!
Beautiful!! Couldn't agree more with your closing statement ~ yes ~ the more I read His Word, the more humble and grateful I become of what He has done, continues to do, and will do for me ~ I deserve none of it!
ReplyDeleteAmen!! May it always be so!
