The manners thing -- exactly! We're working on those things except for standing when someone enters the room. What do you think about that one?

While I'm sure it's a nice gesture to stand when someone enters the room, it's probably not something we'd emphasize. I do, however, like to remind my girls that it's always polite to stand and give up your seat to an elderly person when they enter a room, at church, on public transportation, etc.
