Kari has 20 Tips to Help Your Teen Use Social Media Wisely. Whoa!!! 4 Holiday Tips: "If you are the elder visiting your adult kids, don’t go with your own plan as to how you will “help.” What looks like help to you may not be what your kids call help." I wish both sets of our parents would have done this early on, and I pray SO HARD that I *WILL* do this when we go to Will & Annelise in the future! I'm also very big on some planned specific fun, which doesn't always jive with what my mom would prefer: she would rather us all just sit on the couch together the whole time and make spontaneous fun & memories. That doesn't work anymore, because when everyone is just sitting around doing nothing, everyone is looking down at their phones. I love having plans to look forward to!

Yes, I'm hoping that I'll be that mom that really is a "help" in the way my kids want/need. And I'm like you - I love having plans to look forward to!!
