Praise Him in the Morning, Praise Him in the Evening

Last Thursday, I read through some of my favorite praise and thanksgiving passages from Psalms.  I had been considering the importance of expressing gratitude every day of the year and these verses seemed to speak directly to that.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.  ~Psalm 92:1-2

I thought how fitting it would be to read these verses every morning and evening to cement thankfulness in my heart.  Over the weekend, I printed the verses out on a sheet of paper, found an old, empty frame I had stored away, and placed the finished project on the nightstand by my bed.

Not only can I begin and end each day with this reminder, but I also notice it as I go in and out of our bedroom throughout the day.  I hope that meditating on this passage will help me to keep a thankful heart throughout the year!

  1. What a great idea! There is a song from my childhood called "Praise Him in the morning, Praise Him in the evening" - that is now stuck in my head :) Happy Monday!
