Book Review: The Money Saving Mom's Budget

When I discovered the blogosphere several years ago, Crystal Paine's Money Saving Mom was one of the first blogs I began reading regularly.  I have always enjoyed her money saving tips, sound financial advice, budget-friendly recipes, and the occasional posts that give us a peek into her family's life.

I was excited to have the chance to preview her first book, The Money Saving Mom's Budget, which is scheduled for release on January 10th.  Although much of the content was familiar to me, the book held my interest and I read it in its entirety in two days.

The information included is very practical and doable. While the majority of the material has been covered at some point on her blog, it is nice to have it compiled in one place.  I especially appreciate her focus on goal setting.  She also includes her seven rules for financial success, an outstanding final chapter on contentment, and helpful worksheets for the reader's use.

Whether you're just learning how to budget and save money or have been living frugally for years, I consider this book an excellent source of information and encouragement on your journey to financial freedom.

Crystal is donating all profits of this book to Compassion International.  Amazon links included in this post are my affiliate links.

  1. I haven't read her book yet, but I've been following her blog for years too. I really appreciate all her series on saving money on groceries, and I miss her Biblical Womanhood blog too!
