Not only have I read Psalm 100 many times, but I have also had it memorized since I was a child. Yet isn't it a great reminder that the Bible is a living Book when God takes a passage we think we know inside and out and speaks to us in a new way?!
As I read that chapter again last week, the phrase "serve the Lord with gladness" convicted me. With what attitude am I serving the Lord? As I work at home among my family or in the nursery at church or help a neighbor with her errands, is my heart full of gladness?
My prayer is that I might not only serve the Lord this week, but do it with gladness!
I read this post and started singing psalm 100, yes serving with a cheerful heart does not always comes easy, doesn't it!
