Saturday Salutes

This DIY Burlap Candy Cane Wreath is really neat - and inexpensive to make!

I love the simple, natural look of this Christmas Vignette.

There's much needed advice for this mom in Escaping the Entitlement Trap.  The article's focus is on teens, but I believe it applies to children of all ages - and often to us as parents, too.

On Tuesday night I made this Lowcountry Boil in a Bowl for supper and it was so good!  I did adapt the recipe, however.  I didn't use the bacon, but just started with browning the onion in the butter.  I also omitted the bell pepper and the chipotle chile.  I added about 12 ounces of smoked sausage, chopped into pieces, during the last 10 minutes of cooking.  The broth was unbelievably flavorful!!

Just had to share this beautiful house I saw on Pinterest!
