Saturday Salutes

Having a chocolate milk party was one of my favorite ideas from Caroline's post on 10 Ways to Become a Fun Mom.

Mary shares 5 Benefits of a No-Spend Month.

Jon shares a helpful parenting tip in The Two-Minute Warning.  We used this quite a bit with our girls when they were younger, and I do think it made transitions easier for them.

After reading about my daughter's desire to learn cake decorating in yesterday's post, a sweet friend offered her supplies and knowledge to help her begin the process without having to take a class!

My husband really enjoyed tiramisu at a restaurant several months ago, so I'm going to try making this Best Tiramisu You Will Ever Have for him today.  I'm not a big fan of coffee-flavored desserts, so I've made me a Coconut Cream Pie.  (Yes, plenty of sugar for all!)

Pinned this to my Fashion Board on Pinterest; I love the color combination - it would be perfect for Spring!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. Great links, as usual. I've thought about having tea parties with my children, but I knew they wouldn't like the tea. Chocolate milk would go great, though! And I learned from my older brother and his wife to give my children five minute warnings. Even if they actually don't get the full five minutes, they've been warned. And it does really help. (And sometimes, they get more than five minutes!)
