Remembering Nurtures Trust

"Trust is the bridge from yesterday to tomorrow, built with planks of thanks.  Remembering frames up gratitude.  Gratitude lays out the planks of trust.  I can walk the planks - from known to unknown - and know:  He holds.

Remembering is an act of thanksgiving, this turn of the heart over time's shoulder to see all the long way His arms have carried."  ~Ann Voskamp in One Thousand Gifts

Because of what God has done in the past, I can trust Him for the future.  Being thankful for all that He has done before cultivates a confidence that He will continue to perform His will faithfully in our lives today and in the future.

  1. He is faithful! Praying that our senses of trust are strengthened, so we can rest in Him. :-)
