What We Need to Be Wearing

It may not be the latest style or what everyone else is wearing.

It won't often get you compliments or have others asking where you got it.

It's not flashy or colorful or available in your nearest department store.

But it's what you and I as women need to put on, and it's what we need to teach our daughters to wear.
 
It's the ornament that God approves - a meek and quiet spirit.

Not bought, not easily acquired, but extremely valuable in the sight of God.  It won't tear or get old and wear out.

It goes against our very nature at times, but it's not weakness; it's strength under control. 

It's standing firm in your beliefs, but showing grace as you express them.

It's deflecting attention from yourself, and letting someone else have the spotlight.

It's others-oriented, a selfless, serving heart.

It fits no matter your size and you won't be embarrassed if someone else shows up wearing it, too!

"Whose adorning....let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price."  I Peter 3:3-4

Let's ask God to help us wear it well this this week!
