Happy 4th of July!

"I am well aware of the toil and blood and treasure that it will cost us to maintain this Declaration and support and defend these States.  Yet through all the gloom I can see the rays of ravishing light and glory.  I can see that the end is more than worth all the means."  ~John Adams, July 3, 1776

Today we celebrate America's birthday.  While our family will mark the holiday in typical fashion - cookout, baseball game, fireworks - may we never forget the blessing we have been given to live in a land where our freedom was bequeathed to us by men and women who believed in it and fought for it with everything they had.

"We on this continent should never forget that men first crossed the Atlantic not to find soil for their ploughs but to secure liberty for their souls."  ~Robert J. McCracken

Wishing you and your family a safe and happy celebration of Independence Day!

May the sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely, than this our own country!  ~Daniel Webster
