Most of us enjoy a little surprise. An unexpected treat of some kind usually makes us feel special and loved.
My mom is so good about this. Every time we visit my parents out-of-state, she puts a small gift under my daughters' pillows on the first and last nights we're at their house. I know this is something they love and I so appreciate how she plans ahead to give them pleasure.
I'm going to surprise my daughters by putting a treat under their pillow tonight. My plan is to slip into each room while they're showering and plant my surprise. We'll see how long it takes for them to find it! (I can't share yet what they'll be receiving just in case they stumble across this post today. I'll update tomorrow!)

Another neat idea! Rachel (5) lost her second tooth earlier this week, and she was thrilled to find the Tooth Fairy's gift under her pillow the next morning even though she already knew it would be there. So I bet the rest of my children would love this, too.
