Hard to believe our summer travels are over!
We enjoyed our trip to Boston, which is full of old churches and graveyards, two of our favorite things to explore! It's a very neat city in the way that old and new are mixed together. This trip was filled with a few "firsts" - our girls' first airplane flights (takeoff was their favorite part!) and our first experiences with Uber (a great service that saved our tired legs on several occasions!)
Here are a few highlights.

We are visiting Boston next month some I will keep these ideas in mind. If you don't mind me asking - what hotel did you stay at while there, and were you happy with it?
ReplyDeleteWe stayed at Revere Hotel near Boston Common. The location was great, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. The only negative for me was that it was hard to regulate the temperature in the room - it was either too hot or too cold. However, it was quite warm during our stay, so if you're going in September, that may not even be an issue for you. I would still definitely recommend the hotel!
DeleteWe watched a DVD about the Revolutionary War history in Boston last month, and it really made me want to schedule a trip up there to see it. And your post just reinforced that desire! It sounds like you had a great time! Thanks for sharing some of your adventures!!
ReplyDeleteIt was really neat to see where the events that you've learned and heard about your whole life actually took place. It's hard to imagine what it was like then, though, since so much of the city has grown up around those historic sites. Like we wondered how far you could have actually seen the lantern hung in the steeple at Old North Church without all the buildings that surround it now.... Regardless, we definitely enjoyed our time in Boston!
