Thank Your Daughter

Sometimes I get so busy that I don't take the time to appreciate the little things my daughters do to help around the house.  Yes, it's often expected, but that doesn't mean I should take it for granted.

I want to verbally express thanks to each of my daughters today for something they do.

It means I may have to be paying attention so that I'm aware of what they're doing.  Whether it's cleaning out their lunch box or remembering to feed the cat, I'll be looking for an opportunity to say an honest and heartfelt "thank you."  It doesn't have to be an out-of-the-ordinary, special task that they accomplish...just anything that gives me a reason to notice what my daughters are doing and say thank you.

If you've missed earlier posts in this series, you can go to my 31 Days host page and catch up on all the ways we're showing love to our daughters in October!

  1. YES! I like trying to be very specific with my compliments. :-)

  2. I try to thank my children when they do things, in part because I want them to learn to thank others (like me!!) when they do things for them. ;)
