Christmas Video 2016 ~ Christmas Eve Traditions

My girls had their last day of school yesterday, so we are in full-on Christmas mode now!!  Planning to bake cookies today (we always make a batch of these Chocolate Holiday Bears), and maybe watch a Christmas movie together.

Yesterday I recorded a video and shared my favorite Christmas Eve traditions.  (If you can't view the video in your e-mail or feed reader, click here to watch it on the blog.)

As I mention in the video, I'll be taking a brief break from blogging to spend time with my family, but I'll be here next Thursday with a look back at the ten most popular posts from Girls to Grow in 2016.  I'm looking forward to 2017 and all that the Lord has in store!

In the meantime, have a very Merry Christmas!!
" And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord." ~Luke 2:10-11
Recipe mentioned in the video:  Potatoes Au Gratin

  2. That sounds like a fun tradition! We don't have anything like that -- yet, but we do plan to go to church on Christmas Eve. And we hope to visit the Zoo Lights after Christmas and New Year's when it's not so busy. Maybe that will become a tradition, too!

I don't know that I've ever seen that recipe even though I've been reading your blog for years. Maybe that was before I started? But I just printed it out because it sound delicious and not too difficult. I've been looking for a recipe like yours!

    1. The Zoo Lights sounds fun!! We have a couple of different drive-through light displays around here, but we haven't made it to any of them yet this year.

      Hope you enjoy the potatoes!
