A Challenge in Gratefulness

Cultivating a grateful heart is something I hope to do for myself as well as our children.  After reading 365 Thank Yous by John Kralik, I am challenging myself to express thanks in writing more often. While I typically write thank you notes for gifts and special acts of kindness, I want to go deeper than that.

Writing one thank you note a day, as the author of the book attempted, would be a wonderful challenge.  However, I think it would become overwhelming for me in this season of life.  Instead, I am purposing to write and mail or hand deliver a thank you note each Tuesday in 2012.  I chose Tuesdays because I usually read Laura's Gratituesday posts, so that should prompt me to get my weekly thank you note written.  I'm hoping that this project will be a constant reminder of all the things for which I can be thankful.

Is there someone you can thank today?

  2. What a wonderful investment of time Tracey. Loving these "others" challenges! To think how many times God's name will be glorified through such sweet gestures and how many others will be provoked unto good works by the kindness shown unto them! Hebrews 10:24 in action ~ very inspiring!

    Blessings on your week,
    Katie

  3. Being thankful is something that's sorely lacking in our world - people are always in such a hurry! This thankful Tuesday you're doing is *such* a good idea! :)
